Thank you for your interest in becoming a supplemental music lesson instructor in the Forney ISD music programs. The Fine Arts Department of the Forney Independent School District believes that supplemental music lessons play a vital role in the development of outstanding musicianship and enrich the total musical experience for all students by assisting them in their discovery of higher levels of skill and proficiency. Rates are $25 per 25-30 minute lesson.

Step by Step Instructions
Please complete each step so that you will be approved in a timely manner. If you miss a step, the
application will not be approved. Once approved, you will be notified by the Campus lesson coordinator who
requested you as a private lesson teacher on their campus.
1. Contact Campus Coordinator and provide a resume
2. Campus Coordinator will contact you for an interview
a. Potential lesson teacher will fill out lesson application (FAST packet)
b. Campus Coordinator will fill out the interview form
c. Campus Coordinator will contact two references
3. Fill out the Forney ISD online criminal background form
a. Click HERE to access the website
4. Once approved by the district, Human resources will contact you with more information on intake.
5. The Fine Art Office will contact the campus coordinator once the lesson teacher is fully processed.
Please note that you will not be permitted to teach on campus until you have completed steps 1-5 and your criminal background check comes back clear. There are no exceptions to this rule. Once you have been approved, the campus coordinator you are teaching for will notify you.
