Eduardo A. Martinez was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. In 2008, he was awarded several prestigious music scholarships and began his music studies at the University of Miami studying with Prof. Trudy Kane of the Metropolitan Opera. There he performed and recorded as principal flutist with the Frost Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra and was the winner of the annual concerto competition performing as a soloist with the Frost Symphony. Mr. Martinez was also awarded a teaching artist position and scholarship with the arts4learning organization in Miami and through this program trained at lesson teaching under the guidance of teaching artist Eric Booth of Juilliard and Lee Michael Morrison of the New World School of the Arts. In 2012, Mr. Martinez began his graduate studies on a music scholarship at the University of North Texas studying with the renowned pedagogue Dr. Mary Karen Clardy. As a student of North Texas, he performed and recorded as principal flute with the North Texas Wind Symphony, Opera Orchestra, and Symphony Orchestra. Prestigious summer engagements include Innsbrook Institute of Music, Siena Summer Music in Italy, and Boston University Tanglewood Institute. Shannon Jacobs, Percussion

Shannon Jacobs has been an active percussion instructor, clinician, arranger and adjudicator in the DFW area for over a decade. Shannon graduated from Arlington Heights High School in Fort Worth, TX. in 2004, from there he attended The University of Texas at Arlington. At UTA he was apart of the marching band, wind ensemble, percussion ensemble, world ensemble, and samba band.
Shannon performed concerts with artists such as Ney Rosauro, John Riley, Horacio “El Negro”Hernandez and others. In 2006, the UTA drum line placed 2nd at the PASIC marching percussion festival in which he was a member of the snare line. Shannon also has performing experience with the Syracuse Brigadiers, Insignia Indoor Percussion Ensemble, Surround Sound Indoor Drumline, and The Dallas Cowboys Rhythm and Blue Drum Line. As an arranger and clinician he has enjoyed working with dozens of schools in the DFW area, as well as groups in south Texas and as far away as Maryland.
Shannon has been apart of the staff at Forney High School since 2007 where he has been the private lesson teacher, battery technician and percussion arranger. He teaches lessons to beginners all the way through seniors. While at Forney the percussion section has been extremely successful, winning high percussion awards at multiple marching band contests and receiving medals at both the HEB and Lonestar Classic drumline contests.

Kathy Weiss Stephens is from Tyler, Texas where she began her undergraduate work at Tyler Junior College. Mrs. Stephens finished her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a double major in theater and music at Stephen F. Austin State University. She later received her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance at Southern Methodist University while on a Meadows Foundation Teaching Fellowship. Mrs. Stephens has performed opera professionally in the United States and Europe, including the world premiere of the title role in The Ransom of Red Chief. She has also performed throughout the Metroplex in various churches as well as with the Dallas Symphony Chorus, Dallas Summer Musicals, Dallas Opera and Lyric Opera of Dallas. She has taught voice lessons for over 30 years in Richardson, Mesquite, Sunnyvale, Rockwall and Forney Independent School Districts as well as maintained a private vocal studio in her home. Mrs. Stephens has been married to her husband Brad, for 25 years and has 2 sons. Justin Smith lives in Austin and is a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas and is employed at Host Gator, and Jody Stephens, a graduate of Forney High School and Eastfield Junior College, who is currently pursuing a paramedic career.
